Hello. The typhoon has passed in the Kanto, and the sun is finally shining through. It's really unusual to have typhoons at the beginning of June, and temperatures exceeding 30°C even though it's only May.
Amidst all this, about a week ago, I suffered a severe lower back injury. This one was quite serious (the last time was over five years ago), and I could barely stand. After a week, I can finally walk normally, but I still experience pain when bending forward or sitting. Apparently, this can become a recurring problem, so it's important to wear a support brace when lifting heavy stuff and to strengthen my abdominal muscles.
I really never want to experience that kind of pain again.
On a different note, due to the situation in Iran, paint thinner is currently completely unavailable. The furniture industry frequently uses oil-based adhesives called quick-drying glue, and we're using them with constant worry about when our stocks will run out. As a result, petroleum-derived products are seeing price increases, and it seems that other plywood-related products will also see price hikes in the future. Prices are already high, but I'm wondering if this is normal or if things were just too cheap before. It's difficult to live in a world that doesn't rely on petroleum, isn't it? Is it impossible for humanity, which has become accustomed to this convenient world, to go back to how things were a while ago? It would be cool if Japan closed its borders and everything went back to glass products, though...
